"Dirty Darla"

I thought Finley and her "Baby" deserved a post all of their own. Baby, or "Dirty Darla" as I've lovingly nicknamed her, has become our 4th child. She goes everywhere with us and Finley is never w/o her "baby." She doesn't have a real name although we've tried. Finley just wants her called "Baby." Because she goes everywhere with us and she never puts her down, she's dirty...hence the name "Dirty Darla." We do try to wash her or even buy a new, clean version of her, but it's just not the same as the dirty baby. This picture was taken at the zoo on July 24th, 2009. Baby saw everything Finley saw that day. She held baby up at every exhibit to make sure she could see all the animals! She ate with us, she sits in her carseat with her, she sleeps with her, baby is well traveled! She is such a good mother to baby. If I refer to her as "Dirty Darla," she promptly says, "she not dirty, she keen." She rocks her baby, pats her, covers her with blankets, takes her for car rides, changes her diapers...we've grown to love baby as one of our own!
